Commission Purpose
Buildings and Grounds
Oversight and evaluation of all church facilities to ensure regular
maintenance of property with a long range and fiscal mindset.
The Dirty Dozen: Maintains Holy Trinitys grounds, especially
the Memorial Garden.
Christian Formation for Adults
Bible study groups: Small groups that study various biblical books or themes; meet at church and in homes.

Bookstore: Materials for sale regarding worship, spirituality, church history, and more.

Library: Video graphics and written materials covering a wide range of topics for children and adults.
Special event seminars: Examples include Lenten retreat weekends and Christian financial concept teachings.
Sunday adult forums: Teachings on various Christian topics.
Weeknight programs: Teachings on various Christian topics.
Tract Rack: Literature made available in the chapel and the church regarding the Episcopal Church, life issues, piety and more.
Christian Formation for Children
Creates and implements opportunities for spiritual growth, renewal, education and the nurturing of families.
Children's Chapel:
Childrens worship during the 9:00 AM Sunday service.
Communion Class:
Offered twice a year or by appointment to help children understand the how-tos and whys of worship.
Special Events:
Advent and Palm Sunday craft Sundays (prior to each season); others, as planned.
Summer Sunday School:
A more informal time. Topics may include life skills or fun activities.
Sunday School:
Classes and curriculum available through grade 5.
Vacation Bible School:
Offered in the summer for one week.
Christian Formation for Youth
Creates and implements opportunities for spiritual growth, renewal,
education and the nurturing of families.
Confirmation:
Offered for teenagers in consultation with parents to determine
readiness to make the mature public affirmation of their faith
and commitment to the responsibilities of Baptism.
Diocesan Youth Events:
New Beginnings, BCAD, acolyte festival, Great Youth Celebration,
Emerge and other events as announced.
Sunday School:
Classes and curriculum available for grade six through grade 12.
Youth Group:
Activities for grades 6 through 12: fellowship, spiritual growth,
social action, mission trips, etc.
Communications
Oversees and coordinates the design and production of all Holy
Trinity printed materials, public relations and advertising to
ensure a consistent and proper image; administers the purchase,
installation and maintenance of staff computers, software and
systems; coordinates with website designer to ensure proper image
and timely information. (Note: This is not an actual Vestry
commission; however, there are opportunities for involvement in
the various ministries.)
Newsletter:
Monthly publication indicating all the parish news and upcoming activities.
Office Helpers:
Aid in various occasional office needs: reception, counting Sunday
offering, pew organization, mass mailings, etc.
Website:
Basic information about Holy Trinity; links to other sites. Currently
being redesigned.
Finance Committee
Maintains the operating finances of the congregation through education
and budget development.
Pledge Drive:
Preparation and implementation of the annual every-member canvas.
Budget and Finance Committee:
Provides monthly oversight and direction for the congregations
operating budget.
Capital Campaign:
Management and distribution of funds as required.
Endowment Fund Committee:
Provides oversight and direction for the growth of parish endowments.
Memorial Fund:
Administering funds given by families to be used to purchase items
to commemorate a persons life and service.
Hospitality
Provide opportunities for members to become incorporated into the
life of Holy Trinity; to enjoy fellowship and maintain relationships.
Greeters:
Greet members as they enter for worship.
In the Garden: General fellowship following the 9:00 AM Sunday
service; hosted by various ministries and groups who provide light
refreshments.
Keenagers:
Monthly fellowship centering around a program and potluck lunch,
open to all seniors.
Newcomers:
Oversees ministries of the greeters, tracks those who return to Holy
Trinity after visiting or who become members, takes gift bags of
information and jelly to first-time visitors, maintains a "Welcome
Table" and offers quarterly dinners.
Parish Picnic:
Annual summer event for the entire parish to enjoy fellowship.
Special Events:
Provides receptions for the Easter Vigil, VIP guests, arrivals/departures
(esp. clergy) or other events as they come up.
Volunteer Appreciation:
Sponsors annual appreciation reception for all those who serve
in ministries under the various Commissions.
Outreach and Missions
Provides education, guidance, planning and implementation of efforts
to foster and promote our Christian ministry in our community,
diocese and world.

Annual financial support of outreach ministries:
Addresses needs within the local community, the Diocese of Central
Florida, and the world.
Congregations for Community Action:
Interdenominational organization that seeks to empower the powerless
to positively effect the quality of life in local neighborhoods.
Holy Trinity Academy Scholarships:
Financial assistance for tuition.
Calm After The Storm:
The goal for this program is to organize and lead work groups that can
provide assistance to nearby cities following a natural disaster such
as a hurricane, tornado, or flood. For more information go to our

Holy Trinity Thrift Shop:
A powerful ministry that offers resources for lower income individuals
and families; financially supports various outreach ministries.
Missionary Support:
Financial assistance for the ministry in Central America.
St. Catherine's Guild:
Bible study/outreach, especially centered around Genesis Houses I
and II and Loving Home; provide fruit baskets and gifts throughout the year.
Pastoral Care
Provides oversight to the meeting of pastoral needs.
Daughters of the King:
Encourages and enables all to be reflections of Gods love, reaching
out through prayer, service and evangelism to spread His kingdom.
Feed our Family:
Provides home-prepared meals to parishioners with acute needs.
Flower Delivery:
Delivery of Sunday service altar flowers to those in the hospital or shut-in.
Grief Support:
Provides pastoral care and support through both structured and
informal small groups for those who are experiencing grief due to the death of a loved one.
Hospital Visitation:
Provides daily visitation by clergy and trained lay pastoral visitors
to parishioners in area hospitals.
Intercessory prayer chain:
Prays daily for friends and members of our parish who are sick or troubled.
Lending closet:
Provides basic medical items which helps with mobility or other home
care needs: wheelchairs (including electric), walkers, crutches, potties, etc.
Order of St. Luke:
An international group that provides training and ministry in the
healing prayer ministry.
Prayer Team:
Provides prayers for healing at the altar rail following the 9:00 AM
service; offers prayers as needed; attends various workshops; offers workshops.
Send Me, Lord:
A pastoral care initiative that endeavors to meet the needs of
parishioners by offering rides to church or grocery, light shopping
(food or medications), loneliness, etc.
St. Joanna's Guild:
Provides reception needs for funerals of parishioners.
St. Margaret's Guild:
Provides support to its members and members of the church in times of
need; also interested in community outreach.
Trinity Towers:
Worship services provided monthly to the residents of the Towers (a
low-income senior facility); Bible studies and other activities are also
offered. Volunteers drive residents to and from Holy Trinity
for the 11:15 Sunday service. They also help carry lunch
trays for residents at the South Towers.
Worship
Provides oversight of services; evaluates present and future worship
programs; offers training for worship leaders; and ensures the
availability of necessary worship resources.
Acolytes:
Youth and adults who assist the clergy in worship services.
Choirs:
Diverse choirs meet the needs of different age levels, musical
experience and musical
styles.
Treble (ages 6-12)
Family (all ages; contemporary and original music)
Chancel (all ages; traditional Anglican music)
Mens (all ages; traditional or contemporary music:
Flute (all ages)
Lay Eucharistic Ministers:
Assist in the administration of Holy Communion during services.
Lay Eucharistic Visitors:
Offer pastoral visits with the administration of Holy Communion to
home-bound or hospitalized parishioners.
Lectors:
Read the lessons from Holy Scripture during worship services.
Musicians:
Provide worship leadership for the worship services of the church.
Sound/amplification/recording of service:
Oversees proper working of the soundboard for amplification of
worship services;
provides audio tapes of services with sermons for shut-ins and/or
personal reflection needs.
St. Anne's Altar Guild:
Provides the necessary preparation and closing activities for all
worship services, including weddings, funeral and the normal service schedule.
Ushers:
Offer hospitality to guests and members by welcoming all, helping
to orient newcomers, collect the offering, indicate to clergy
parishioners who are unable to receive Communion at the altar rail,
and meet other needs to make the service worshipful.
