SERVE THE WORLD

As Christians, we are called to serve one another. We invite you to consider the many different ways you could use your gifts to serve the body of Christ at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.

  • The Celebratory Guild consists of a number of teams working together. One team makes phone calls to those celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and other significant events in the lives of our parishioners. A second team meets on Monday mornings to re-arrange flowers from the altar into mugs and cups to be delivered to both standing parishioners and newcomers and visitors to our parish. Our third team delivers those flowers to those said individuals and families.

  • The Coffee Hour, held in the parish hall between the 9:00 and 11:15am services on Sundays, offers an opportunity for general fellowship and light refreshments. It is hosted by various ministry groups and individuals.

  • The Daughters of the King (DOK) is an Order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church. Members undertake a Rule of Life, incorporating the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service. By reaffirmation of the promises made at Confirmation, a Daughter pledges herself to a lifelong program of prayer, service and evangelism, dedicated to the spread of Christ’s Kingdom and the strengthening of the spiritual life of her parish

  • The Healing Prayer Team is a group of trained prayer ministers who pray in pairs with people in need of emotional, spiritual, or physical healing. We believe that the Lord is present to bring wholeness and healing, and we follow the model: Listen, love, pray.

  • Holy Spirit Fire Healing Community meets every second Friday of the month at noon in Lewis Hall.

  • Lay Eucharistic Visitors (LEVs) bring communion from the Sunday Service of worship to those who are incapable of attending the regular service in church.

  • The Nimble Needles Pray Shawl ministry meets the second, fourth, and fifth Tuesdays of the month at 10am. Knitters (both men and women) say prayers while they are knitting or crocheting. After the shawls are blessed in a church service, they are given to members of the parish, family members, or friends, either in the hospital, in nursing homes, or at home.

  • At Holy Trinity, when a family has lost a loved one, the family has the support of St. Joanna’s Guild in the form of a reception at the church after the funeral. The members of St. Joanna’s Guild host the reception, prepare and serve the food, as well as set up and clean up before and after the reception. St. Joanna’s Guild is divided into several teams that take turns hosting receptions, but more teams and team members, women and men, are needed.

  • Come and volunteer at the thrift shop. We have a fun and caring group that serves the community. You will meet many people, volunteers and customers. We need volunteers to help customers find goods they are looking for, put out merchandise, price merchandise and sort donations. Come in and see what we are all about.
