Janet Davinroy-Gray

Glen, my husband, and I have been members of the Holy Trinity Church community for approximately 30 years, and I have been actively involved in various ministries. Brittany and Dorey, our daughters, both attended HTS through 8th grade.

I worked for Brevard Public Schools as a teacher for 30+ years. I have since retired yet continue to find ways to contribute to my community. Outside of church responsibilities, I love to travel and spend time with Glen, the girls, the new grandbaby and other family and friends. Some of our free time is spent on the beaches or theme parks but being together is the best.

The Holy Trinity Church’s mission is Every Member in Ministry to our Worship, Fellowship and into our Ministries. God calls us and equips us to serve. I have served in several ministries and committees throughout the years i.e. the vestry, search committees, worship, prayer ministry, taught Sunday School, and others. I know when God calls me to a ministry or project, I need to listen.

When the congregation was surveyed about their vision for our church as we searched for a new priest, it was clear that the vision is growth. As is evident to me, Father Tom Phillips is deeply committed to the spiritual growth and well-being of our church. I would like the opportunity to help as he is led to sharpen that clear vision for fostering a welcoming and inclusive community where individuals can deepen their faith, find support, and actively contribute to the church's mission. Over the years, I have grown in my faith, developed a closer relationship with Jesus, and enjoy developing relationships with members of the congregation. I have noticed how wonderful it is to empower others to serve in ministries. While there are many ways to help, I am humbled to have been asked to serve on the vestry.

Judy Henderson

In the mid-1970s, I moved to Melbourne from my birthplace, Alexandria, Virginia, and worked for the Air Force at Patrick Air Force Base until my retirement. I was looking for an Episcopal Church when I met Fr. Boyer and he invited me to come to Holy Trinity; I've been a member here ever since. I've served in many volunteer capacities at Holy Trinity over the years -- Sunday School teacher, head of Vacation Bible School, in charge of the now defunct Book Shop, member and officer of St Catherine's Women's Guild, and for the last 24 years, a member of the Altar Guild. I've attended the last two Episcopal Conventions as a member of the National Altar Guild Board, and I serve on the Central Florida Diocesan Altar Guild Board. I hope to bring many years of experience to the Vestry and work with other Vestry members to grow the congregation, while ensuring that we take care of the members we currently have, and care for the members who may no longer be able to attend regular services.

Joey Jachec

Steven and I have been members at HTEC since we moved to Florida in 2007 with a two-year-old and one on the way - our boys have grown up in this parish. During that time, I’ve served widely and diversely: founding the former Fishes & Loaves ministry, teaching and leading for 14+ years in children & family ministries, organizing a moms sermon study group, beginning and continuing our annual parish campout for 14 years, continuing to serve on the women’s retreat leadership team, and most recently serving on the search committee. Outside church, I have served on the Gifts from the Heart Shop Committee for the past 7 years, and for the past 5 years on the counseling team with INUA Partners in Hope, a mission partnership with a church in Naivasha, Kenya supporting orphaned and vulnerable youth. With a background in special education teaching children with behavioral needs, I now work as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in private practice. I currently am President-Elect for Space Coast Mental Health Counselors Association, a non-profit board on which I’ve served since 2017. I believe my professional skill set, discerning heart, and dedication to service could be helpful to our vestry.

At Holy Trinity, we love each other well, across generations, and are poised for an exciting future! I would be honored to work collectively to grow and carry God's love into the community beyond.

Amanda Peters

Hello! My name is Amanda Peters. My family and I have been members of Holy Trinity for about 12 years and we’ve all been very active within the parish. I have spent my life in the church, my father was a Lutheran pastor and I have a bachelor’s degree in theology. I am currently the school secretary for West Melbourne School for Science. In layman’s terms: I spend my days putting out fires. I have enjoyed being a part of HT in many different ways. I have taught Sunday School, Treasure Kids, done registration and decorations for VBS, been involved in small group bible studies, have been on the Women’s Retreat Committee for years, was a member of the search committee, have chaperoned our youth at Rock the Universe, and my favorite job of all: I get to drive the golf cart at our retreats at Canterbury. I am currently a member of the Holy Trinity Ringers, a lector and a LEM.

My husband, Ted has been involved in the vestry, foundation, bible studies, men’s groups and is an usher. Our oldest daughter, Grace is in her 2nd year at UF as a mechanical engineer student. She is currently a Verger in the Episcopal Church. Our youngest daughter, Iona, is a senior at West Shore and is a Master Acolyte, a LEM, and a counselor at Camp Wingmann. Both girls have grown up in the church and have been a part of children’s and youth ministries for many years.

I look forward to many more years of service and community in this wonderful place that God has given us to be our home.

Tom Thornton

My name is Tom Thornton. I am married to Cathryn, and we have two adult sons – Ben and Cameron. I currently work for KBR as a senior advisor to NOAA/NASA for the next generation weather satellites. I am a life-long Episcopalian. Prior to moving to FL, we attended St. Thomas Episcopal Church (Sunnyvale, CA) for 19-years, where I served on the vestry as both the Junior and the Senior Warden(s).

Cathryn and I started attending the 9am service at Holy Trinity in 2000. Currently Cathryn and I attend the 730am service except for when we greet at the 9am service. I have been associated with various ministries and activities including ushers, greeters, Foyers, Wednesday night activities, and bible study programs.

This past April, I had the opportunity to join the vestry when several positions were vacated. Currently, I am responsible for special projects which has included weeding, trimming, and mulching the rectory prior to the Phillips moving in and a church workday held in November. Monthly workdays are being planned.

I am excited about Holy Trinity’s future under Fr. Tom’s vision. I believe both my professional and vestry experience can help Fr. Tom and Holy Trinity navigate and achieve this vision.
